Joan Hije

About Me

Hello. My name is Joan Hije. I'm a licensed professional teacher with over five years of teaching experience in both classroom and online settings. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers, and I also hold a TEFL certification. I'm comfortable teaching beginner to B2 level students. I'm serious about learning, but I'm also supportive and understanding. I know that every student learns differently, so I always adjust my teaching style and methods based on their level, needs, and goals. For beginners, I use simple language and lots guidance. For higher levels, I focus on fluency, vocabulary, and confidence in real conversations. My goal is to help you feel comfortable speaking and motivated to improve. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you in my class.
